A 27-year-old G1P0 woman presents for her first prenatal visit. She reports a certain last menstrual period 10 weeks 2 days ago and regular 28-day cycles. She has no bleeding or pelvic pain. Transvaginal ultrasound today shows a single viable intrauterine pregnancy with crown-rump length corresponding to 8 weeks 6 days. Which is the best method to establish the estimated due date?
First-trimester crown-rump length is the most accurate dating method. At less than 9 weeks, a discrepancy greater than 5 days between LMP and ultrasound should be redated by ultrasound; this 10-day difference meets that rule. C is tempting because LMP is the initial estimate, but it is overridden by a large early ultrasound discrepancy. B is incorrect because later ultrasound is less accurate and should not delay dating. D is incorrect because standard rules do not average dates.

Learners
The guided drills were the difference. I stopped re-reading notes and started doing timed sets. My scores jumped in two weeks.
The explanations are crisp and the pacing is perfect. I used the active recall prompts every night and it stuck.
I loved the frameworks and examples. Prioritization became obvious, and the drills fixed my weak spots fast.
