Which action best matches the current phase of practice?
The cues indicate the engagement phase: the client is new, uncertain about services, and needs orientation and trust-building. C is correct because clarifying role, confidentiality, and concerns supports informed participation and rapport. D is premature planning before assessment. A may become an advocacy intervention, but contacting a landlord without consent breaches self-determination and confidentiality. A fits termination, not an initial contact. Entry-level practice should sequence engagement, assessment, planning, intervention, monitoring, and termination rather than jumping to later tasks.
